TAHEA implements a 4 year Lishe Endelevu Project through USAID funds, Sub granted by Save the Children International (SCI) working closely with local government authority.
This project aims at improving nutritional status of women, children and adolescents in Iringa region covering Iringa Municipal Council, Mafinga Town Council and Kilolo District council.
Lishe Endelevu project intends to realize the following results areas
1. Strengthened Multisectoral coordination for improved nutrition at local government level
2 Improved health, nutrition, care giving and wash behaviors
3 Increased access and availability of diverse, safe and nutritious food. The project will reach 24,934 women of reproductive age, 58,909children under five and 14,817 adolescent girls 15-19 years of age with improved nutrition services, social behavior change (SBC) for optimal Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and water, sanitation and hygiene(WASH) behaviors, promotion of nutrition sensitive livelihood: positive shifts in gender norms and equitable households decision making.
